That’s why we’re proud to offer a dedicated Caregiver Support Group, a safe and welcoming space where you can connect with others who truly “get it.”Why Join a Caregiver Support Group?Research and countless personal stories show that support groups make a real difference for caregivers, especially those supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other conditions.
Here’s what you can gain:
- Emotional Support: Share your experiences, frustrations, and triumphs in a judgment-free environment. Knowing you’re not alone can reduce feelings of isolation and burnout.
- Practical Advice: Learn coping strategies, caregiving tips, and resources from peers and our experienced iCare facilitators who lead the meetings.
- Reduced Stress and Burden: Studies, including meta-analyses of support group effectiveness, have found significant improvements in caregivers’ psychological well-being, lower depression levels, and decreased sense of burden.
- Respite and Recharge: While you attend the support group, your loved one can enjoy engaging activities at our center—giving you both a much-needed break.
At iCare, our adult day center provides nurturing daytime care in a home-like setting, with social activities, health monitoring, and specialized programs to promote dignity and joy. Our support group complements this by focusing directly on you, the caregiver.
Support Group Details
Our monthly meetings are designed to be accessible and supportive:
- When: First Wednesday of every month, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Where: iCare Adult Day Center, 213 N Marina Street, Prescott, AZ 86301
- Led By: Experienced caregivers from the iCare team
- Special Note: During meetings, your loved one can participate in fun activities at the center (including holiday festivities when in season).
